The new and improved BlueWolfphotography.com website is here.
Initially I was going to simply update the various modules that build this site. However, having being built 6-7 years ago, things have changed quite a bit. Instead of SiteOrigin its now Beaver Builder, Brizy, Elementor and/or Gutenberg, as well as easy to build all in-one websites and hosters like SquareSpace and Wix. Confusing? Yes.

So a simple update became a review of what was available and ultimately a complete rebuild.
Hopefully the new website will be more user friendly, especially around the shop, and will be easier to update and maintain going forwards.
The Home page now has my services, galleries, shop and several contact buttons all of which I trust make navigating the website and contacting me easier.
The About page is simple and, as well as the standard header menu and footer links, now includes my Mission, Vision and Values. Goals which I trust I live up to.
The Services page gives information on the three main services I offer as well as an FAQ section. Whilst Event and Portrait photography will come as no surprise I have included Website Development. Having always built my own website I am keen to help others achieve the same result and use what I have learnt to do that. Whether it is a personal website or for a small business, I am able to create, build and host it (if required). I see some opportunities here for those requiring a bit more presence than Facebook and are looking for a home, about, services/gallery and contact page to share what they are doing.
The Galleries page is self-explanatory although I am using new gallery software, which is part of the reason the galleries no longer go back to 2016. The overall look and feel is the same but clicking through to the actual gallery, users may notice a few small differences.
The Shop has seen some of the biggest changes, although prices remain the same, with more products and the ability to enter the image reference at product level and to choose one product type and then the number required. The expanded product range includes prints and canvas, aluminium and acrylic prints and jigsaws. At checkout I am also looking into offering an alternative to PayPal by including Stripe as another payment option. Stripe is equally as secure for the user but less commission, helps me keep prices down, and automatically sends me the money. Hopefully all of the changes make it easier for the user to navigate the purchasing process.
The Blog page may be one of the least visited pages as it used to simply reflect my Facebook posts. Going forwards I plan to include more information on events, such as the full results (where available). I also hope to share one-to-one photo/yard shoots as well as having more photographic and website orientated posts mixed in.
The Contact page allows you to email me without having to login to your own personal email and has my mobile should you wish to call or text.
If you have any ideas for the website, encounter any issues or want to know more about the services I offer then please do not hesitate to contact me.
