The Guernsey Riding & Hunt Club held their Artemis Annual Show over the weekend. Starting Friday at 1pm the jumping continued until 7pm and then we were back on Saturday and Sunday for two more full days of events for all abilities. Regrettably, due to the poor summer we’re having, the event started in the all-weather arena but on Sunday we were on the grass.
Artemis Fiduciaries sponsored the show and classes including the ever popular Dog and Donkey and Bike and Ride. These two classes were well supported and spectators were encouraged to cheer entrants on. Particularly in the bike section of the Bike and Ride, which proved not as easy as it seemed with leg muscles aching by the end.
The main event of the GRHC 2024 calendar and thanks to Artemis Fiduciaries’ sponsorship, the event was able to welcome Diane Evans back to Guernsey as lead judge and Daniel Norrell, on his first trip to Guernsey, as course builder. I hope and am sure they’ll both be coming back at some point in the future.
