The Guernsey Riding & Hunt Club held their annual showing show this weekend. Fortunately all the classes were held in the Artemis Arena so I did have to choose between two arenas. It also meant that we were on the grass, which given it rained Saturday probably meant everyone stayed a little cleaner.
Over the two days the UK Judge, Meridy Phillips, had plenty to judge with 34 classes plus Championship Classes and everything from In Hand Shetland/miniature and Ex-Race Horse to Fancy Dress and Concours D’Elegance.
We also saw possibly the youngest ever competitor at GRHC with Rudy Youlton taking part in the Junior Best Rider on Lead Rein, ably assisted by his family. I’m not sure who was happier, Rudy or his older brother who proudly lead him round.
