This year’s BS Academy Charity Show was to raise funds for the Alderney Horse Home, which is there to “look after horses in their twilight years, and others who just need a quieter life”. The event took place in the all-weather arena with the weather more like summer than autumn.
As well as classes from cross-poles upwards through the various heights there were two Chase-Me-Charlie classes starting at different heights. The first has so many competitors not everyone could be allowed in the arena at the same time and although it started at 40cm it finished at an amazing 1m.

In the gallery I’ve included a couple of sets of images that I might not otherwise have done of Frankie and Flo. Both riders showing true determination hanging in their with their ponies to clear at the time was an 80-90cm jump. The full gallery can be seen here.
