BS Guernsey’s two day Derby Show this weekend was shortened to one day due to the forecasted weather conditions. Thankfully it was not as bad as forecast and Sunday was a lovely day with the event not only taking place on grass in the Alexander Plumbing Arena but a water jump was also included, which always adds to the fun.

Although there was a reduced schedule of just 14 classes there was still a good number of entrants and even when the water jump was not part of the course, many riders could jump it at the end of their round.
All of the jumps were also brightened up with flowers from the Green Legacy Project who ‘work in partnership with the island’s parishes and schools to provide environmental, social and economic benefits through allergy-friendly planting, and works to teach both adults and children about the value of plants‘.
