Guernsey Riding & Hunt Club held their first cross country of 2023 on Sunday. There were both fixed fences and standard show jump fences, for the lower heights, as we went from 80cm down to cross-poles. Given this November has been very wet we were lucky on the day with just a brief patch of drizzle otherwise overcast with patches of sunshine. The going was also very good although muddy getting onto the site.
Unfortunately there wasn’t a big turnout given the huge amount of work the GRHC Committee and others had put into moving the fences from GRHC and then setting up the course. However, those that did compete seemed to enjoy themselves and its always nice to photograph something a little different to the standard arena jumping.
