This weekend we have the Guernsey Pony Club’s Annual Show comprising both showing, jumping as well as some fun classes like horse and hound. Although it is supposed to now be summer it was surprisingly cold and windy this morning. Thankfully the weather has improved but I have also had to cut short my attendance at the event.
Although I left before midday I was there long enough to realise how much trouble everyone had gone to with everything as clean, brushed, powdered and polish applied as possible. And that was just the ponies and horses. I do not envy the judge that has to decide who should win when everyone looks so good.
Hopefully the weather continues to improve and the jumping that follows tomorrow is as good as the showing today.
